General Job DescriptionResponsible for set up, operations and routine maintenance of hydraulic press or punch.
Lifting, positioning and manipulating sheets of heavy gage steel.
Utilization of overhead crane, forklift, and tool grinder.
Must be mechanically inclined and can read a tape measure.
Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to interpret dimensions to the appropriate measurements on the machine.
Understanding of measurements and basic math skills are a requirement.
Work Experience Requirements Previous experience running bend, punch, cutoff, shear and iron workers machining centers in manufacturing environment preferredMust be able to perform mathematical procedures using decimals and fractionsMust be to use standard measuring devices (i.
e.
calipers, depth gauges, tape measures).
Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to interpret dimensions to the appropriate measurements on the machine.
Basic computer skillsMust have excellent attendance history.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work standing on hard surface for 10 -12 hour shifts in hot or cold environment.
Good hand and eye coordination.
Good visual acuity.
Ability to climb, bend, kneel, crouch or stoop to perform various functions of the position.
Must be able to read and understand English.
Ability to reach with hands and arms.
Ability to work independently.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
This position is typically in a manufacturing setting and requires standing for long periods of time.
Requires good hand-eye coordinator, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp.
Ability to manipulate (carry, lift, move) objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
