JOB
Summary:
The Electronics and Instrumentation Technician will safely and efficiently maintain, troubleshoot issues with and work to improve the electrical subsystems within the production facility.

Responsibilities:

Adhere to safe work practices, complete monthly safety audits/observations, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained.
Report to the management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
Effectively communicate the status of issues and projects with the management, vendors, peers and production personnel.
Technical Use the appropriate tools (e.
g.
multimeter, software) to troubleshoot and diagnose the root cause of electrical issues in the facility.
Troubleshoot and test functionality of process instrumentation; flow meters, level transmitters, level switchesetc.
Work with internal and external resources to resolve issues as quickly and effectively as possible.
Interpret electrical schematics and user manuals.
Troubleshoot hardware issues with PLCs (programmable logic controllers) and touchscreens.
Use basic network troubleshooting to diagnose control networking issues.
Perform preventive maintenance in accordance with approved maintenance plans and work orders.
Train others on technical content (especially as it relates to electrical subsystems).
Continually seek out opportunities for process improvements.
Assist and consult with the management/engineering on projects as needed.
Assist mechanics when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
2 year certification from college or technical school or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience in Instrumentation Technology
Experience:
Three years strong industrial electrical background in a manufacturing environment (Food Processing Plant preferred).
Experience in mechanical systems, welding and pneumatics helpful.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as electrical schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations and procedure manuals in English.
Ability to write routine reports, procedural manuals and correspondence in English.
Ability to effectively present information in both one-on-one and group situations.
Ability to respond to questions from internal/external customers/vendors at all levels including the management.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, fractions, ratios.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Electrical Apprentice or Journeyman's license preferred (but not required).
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Experience with Allen Bradley/Rockwell automation preferred.
Shift/weekend work may be required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
